I’ve been a photo junkie since before I can remember & have always been involved in the visual arts. Thinking I was best suited for a career in Graphic Design, but not enjoying sitting in front of a computer , I made the switch to photography ( well didn’t that come back to bite me ) loving the whole process – from releasing the shutter to endless hours in the darkroom. I was fortunate enough to have several well established photographers believe in me along the way and I’m grateful for the opportunities that followed.
Canada was my home for 7 years and I fully enjoyed the experience of working with many talented people, in a large wedding & portrait studio focused on photojournalism
On my return to New Zealand with my young family at the end of 2004 …………
One Black Sheep was born. I had always worked for other people, but I had a desire for more control. One Black Sheep is based in Tauranga, and covers the greater Bay of Plenty area as well as the Waikato.
